Techné invests in the first Keyence 3D machine supplied by Keyence France. Always in order to improve quality and reach higher customer specification, Techné appropriates a new method of 3D control, without contact.

What is the VR3200 three-dimensional measuring machine from Keyence?

It's a non-contact measurement devices which scan and measure a surface.

What are the advantages of this 3D measuring machine?

Techné ensures the quality of your parts through non-destructive testing.

This non-destructive method allows us to control and obtain Complex shapes (box seals or precision parts) with 3D shape without being cut and without contact. Complex shapes can be more accurately analysed for more thorough evaluation. They can even perform measurements of soft objects.

How does the three-dimensional measurement works and what can be measured?

The upper surface is illuminated by a succession of projection with a light source on each side, inclined at 30°. The camera located above the part captures the picture of the deformed lines by the topography of the surface. Then an algorithm transforms the deformed lines in order to obtain height measurement

What can be measured?

Some complex measures shapes and roughness can be done including flatness measure. By measuring the 3D shape, we are able to measure the height, width, angle, and radius from the internal shape. In addition, the non-contact design enables measurement of soft objects such as rubber.

The 3D profile is now possible without cut the part and without any contact.

It's possible to control parts with a maximum size of 200 x 100 mm and to make measurements and visual with a thickness of 10 mm (the part can be higher).
